NEWSPAPER WORK

As you might have ascertained from my Why I Write entry, the time I spent on my high school's newspaper, Knight Life, was crucial to my development as a writer.  Whether I find them wonderful or cringeworthy, I have included almost all of the articles written and page layouts designed by me during the three years I was on the paper.

Here, you can find an archive of my articles that are still available on Knight Life's website, along with images of spreads that show my design work (created using Adobe Illustrator).  On some of these spreads, you might be able to find a piece or two written by me as well. Unfortunately, many of my pieces have been lost over time in the maze that is the internet, so searching through spreads is the only way to find them.

EXAMPLES OF MY PAGE DESIGN

During my junior and senior years at Lahser High School, I acted as editor-in-chief of Knight Life.  In addition to reading pieces and then working with staff writers to help revise them, I was in charge of designing the Opinions section spreads for each edition of the paper.
